Lydiah Nyakundi | Duchess & Duchess 2017
Lydiah Nyakundi established Duchess and Duchess as a way to create community and encourage other mothers as they raise daughters who will be the world changers of tomorrow. Her desire to start the ministry was born out of her personal experiences and the difference that learning and growing as a mother has brought to her relationship with her daughter.
With Duchess and Duchess, Lydiah desires to connect with other mothers as they continue to learn on the motherhood journey. She is passionate about creating opportunities for girls to receive vital learning and information that will help them grow into capable women able to fulfill their greatest potential.
Lydiah is a recipient of the 2017 Golden Rule International World Peace Ambassadors Award by iChange Nations, and appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Golden Rule. She is also a recipient of the 2017 Women Add Value Leadership and Recognition Award and 2017 Dear Awards for best community organizer.
A Christian, originally from Kenya, Lydiah now lives with her husband, Herbert, and three kids in McKinney, Texas. She is a Registered Nurse and a member of Adorned Women of Value, a non-profit organization for women empowerment.
